Tell us about yourself and your history in the art world. How did you start, whether you are self-taught or have received formal training, and if you have a particular theme in your art.

I was always a creative child but when I grew up and started working, got kids and live was happening I forgot to create. Until I was about 45 years, I started making collages (that was in 2014). I am a self-taught artist. I love the designs and images of the fifties, so that is a returning theme in my work. But I also love more modern themes.

What inspires you?

I am inspired by old magazines and pictures, also by flowers, old cars, texts etc.

Describe your technique.

I make collages on canvas board, I always use a square form. Most of the time I combine it with paint.

Nostalgia, vintage, square, optimistic, original

What do you believe is the function of an artist and art today?

For me, it is to give the people who watch my work a happy moment.

What is the most important moment of your artistic career?

I was very happy when one of my works was chosen as one of the winners of the art award 2022 of the Lelie Gallery in Amsterdam, and it took part in the exhibition.

What are the most important places where you have exhibited your work in your artistic journey?

The Art fair in Eindhoven and the lelie Gallery in Amsterdam

What is your goal for the next 5 years?

My goal is to reach more people worldwide and to keep creating.

That is hard to say, there are so many wonderful artists
