Yoso is the artist name of Ambrosio López González, a Spanish artist who brings together photography, drawing and digital painting in works created on translucent and luminous supports. Winner of the NNC Gallery Challenge 2024, he explores human identity, the body and the desire to push beyond our limits through images suspended between reality, dream and vision.

Yoso is the artist name of Ambrosio López González, a Spanish artist who brings together photography, drawing and digital painting in works created on translucent and luminous supports. Winner of the NNC Gallery Challenge 2024, he explores human identity, the body and the desire to push beyond our limits through images suspended between reality, dream and vision.
Trained as an architect, Ambrosio López González has developed a multidisciplinary practice that brings together digital creation, photography and sculpture. His process combines his own photographs and drawings with graphic design tools, with careful attention to detail and finish. His work has been presented in solo and group exhibitions in Spain and abroad. His recognitions include winning the XXVII Jaume Graells Digital Art Award, being selected for the Arte Laguna Prize 2023–24, and participating in the Florence Biennale 2025.
In Yoso’s work, the body is at once matter, image and threshold. Bones, fingerprints and human figures become part of an exploration of individual uniqueness and the forces that drive us beyond our present condition. His images often begin with dreams and intuitions, taking shape through digital compositions and carefully chosen supports that heighten their presence.
In Adam, a life-size figure made from X-rays and drawings seems to strain towards flight. Its skeletal structure evokes the physical dimension, while its gesture suggests an inner impulse to transcend it. In Newborn White on Blue, the artist’s fingerprints form the face of a newborn, linking birth and identity to the unrepeatable trace of every human being. Luminous works and translucent supports turn the image into a physical experience, poised between appearance and matter.
