With boldness and honesty, Juan González Iglesias invites us into a space of open interpretation. There are no keys or fixed messages—just suggestions, vibrations, energy. His drawings echo both the ritualistic and the digital, the tribal and the cybernetic. Every line is both game and revelation. In the apparent chaos, something essential emerges: a kind of energetic order, a choreography of signs.
His practice positions itself as a playful mysticism, accessible and resonant. In a time when spirituality is often marketed or over-intellectualized, Iglesias returns to the simplicity of drawing as a channel of vision. He draws what he feels, and what he feels becomes a field of resonance for others.
Statement
At the age of 29, I experienced a spiritual awakening that, among other things, led to the development of a new artistic practice. I felt compelled to merge spiritual themes with elements of pop culture—because that’s how I found my own light: through the glow of films, music, video games, magazines, and pop phenomena.
Today, I feel I've reached a point of synthesis. My artistic journey, after many stages, now takes a more solid and coherent form. I've experimented with various techniques, but I feel most comfortable using markers on paper—like a child drawing in school. My current work aims to produce images or texts (or potentially other formats in the future) that strike people on a spiritual level, helping them grow, often unconsciously.
It’s not about "deep thinking" or "deep learning"—it’s about play. Like a game. Exposure to certain stimuli, as we know, can provoke reactions. What I hope for is spiritual growth without strain. Through my art, I try to point toward enlightenment by mixing spirituality with pop culture.
Project
Juan González Iglesias’ works are explosions of color, rhythm, and spiritual intuition. Through vibrant compositions made with marker on paper, he creates visionary universes where the sacred and the pop coexist in harmony. Forms are abstract, almost botanical or cosmic, yet they contain signs, portals, and symbols that hint at an internal transformation.
His works act as visual meditations. They are playful, instinctive, and powerful. The artist embraces the freedom of gesture and repetition as a generative process, building dense, hypnotic layers. Despite the immediacy of the materials, the resulting impact is both profound and elevated, calling viewers to engage with their own inner space.
