ARTIST SUPPORT FUND
NNC maintains an Artist Support Fund to promote equal access to its curatorial programs and to support artists whose participation would otherwise be structurally limited due to economic or humanitarian conditions.
The Support Fund is a curatorial tool, not a social entitlement, and is granted exclusively on the basis of documented need and curatorial evaluation.
Eligibility Criteria
Eligibility for the Artist Support Fund is not based solely on nationality or country of origin, but on the artist’s actual economic and professional condition.
The fund is reserved for artists who:
-
reside permanently in countries affected by
-
severe economic imbalance due to unfavorable currency exchange rates against the British pound or the euro, and/or
-
armed conflict, political instability, or ongoing humanitarian crises;
-
-
are currently based in those countries and not residing abroad.
Artists living outside their country of origin may be considered only if they can provide verifiable documentation confirming their participation in officially recognized refugee, asylum, or humanitarian protection programs.
Artists who demonstrate the ability to independently cover international participation costs, or who have access to substantial personal, institutional, or commercial financial resources, are not eligible for the Support Fund, regardless of their country of residence.

The Artist Support Fund is managed to preserve the integrity, sustainability, and credibility of the NNC curatorial process.
