What is the state of affairs today? Individual fragments, parts, pieces, sometimes
shards, which are left over from something destroyed can come together again to
form something new. What comes after that, after the here and now? A big question
in this day and age! Everything new grows out of the existing - objects, ideas,
friendships, relationships, new visions, new cultures - everything comes into being
and grows through the interplay and connection of the existing into ever new
structures and forms. My forms, which I combine from the individual elements in a
new rhythm, grow into abstract shapes, reminiscent of nature.
The rhythm gives rise to the form, each rhythm, each new way in which the
connections are made, results in a new, a different structure. Many circumstances,
processes and influences have a role on the newly emerging construct. It is an ever
new play with forms, inexhaustible - like our society, our mind and our society. And
also delicate, fragile and vulnerable, like ourselves.
