Artusnow

Artusnow was born in France and works in Madrid. He is a self-taught professional who constantly explores the boundaries between photography and painting, using digital tools to create hypertexturized artworks that highlight the power of colours and the beauty of nature.
He has specialized in large format creations, (the largest to date is a mural of 270 x 650 cm) with incredible textures, complex color combinations, which can be figurative or abstract.

During his work, the original layers of photographs often disappear in favor of a more poetic and pictorial vision of reality, whose psychedelic colors attract the eye.

TECHNIQUE
Artusnow defined himself as a "graphic DJ" who, like musicians mixing existing songs to create a new melody, overlays several layers of photographs to create new digital images.
He is constantly looking for new textures for his works and takes photos in the most unusual places. Decrepit doors, worn walls, abandoned hangars, faded graffiti are the source of his perception of reality and his creativity.
For him, the artist is someone who able to see things that others do not perceive. That’s why his artistic signature, present in all his paintings, is an open eye.

INSPIRATION & ARTISTIC EVOLUTION:
"Keep your love for nature, because it is the true way to understand art more and more", Vincent Van Gogh.
NATURE: The shapes, textures and colors of nature are infinite. I love mixing them to create new visual sensations.

HUMAN BODY: The ancient Greeks thought that the nudes could express an ideal of divine perfection, both psychic and physical. For me, they still have this power of invocation of divine perfection incarnated in forms.

TEXTURES: Textures are the essence of my work. They are everywhere, on an old door often painted, the wings of a butterfly, posters glued and torn, the delicate petals of a flower, on a wall full of graffiti, the bark of a tree or a burnt garbage can, but they’re still invisible to most people. I integrate them into my paintings to give them a life on their own, which sometimes brings them closer to Street Art.
