Born in 1982 at Algiers, Farah Terkmani is passionate with art since her childhood. She naturally did artistic studies. After doing art studies at Paris, dealing with sculpture, photography as well as fashion, she spent time to build network focused on art allowing her to earn a lot of experiences. In 2014, she moved from the capital of France to a more sunny city named Marseille in the South of France. Sun, Mediterranean sea and cultural exchanges made the artist in need to be the bridge between France and her native country Algeria. She then realized her double legacies and understand soon cultural ﬁlters has big impact on world perception. Her wonderings as woman drive her little by little to have a deeper reﬂection on the awareness of other from here and there (ou from all over the world) whatever the differences. From this point on, she is committed to use her imagination through fantastic play of shapes and colours supported by concepts born from her imaginary universe. She let herself get carried away by the spur of the moment, highlighting her deepest thinks. Through her art, she, who is feminine and dreamy, escapes time and space, building her own reality where she can project her own feelings, ideas and all images into shapes The purpose is the reﬂection, as she thinks art is a mean to bring people together to exchange and elevate themselves.
Art approach photography Through art studies, Farah Terkmani learnt to do photography. To freeze the unpredictable moment is the charm of this media. It also allows her to develop her perception of the world with technology. Indeed, thanks to scanner, she put images into staging. More than thinking as image, the artist prefer to let her drive by the camera and the light. It results in images far from ﬁrst meaning, pushing to reﬂections and wonderings.
